A Completely Revamped Health & Wellness Series

Learning comes in all types of formats, styles, and environments. We’d be remised if we didn’t focus on your body as well as your mind! With that in mind, we’ve added a plethora of health and wellness activities:

  • November Project™—An iconic Boston activity where participants take part in a variety of physical activities at the Harvard Stadium.
  • Walking for Wisdom—join us for a 3-mile brisk walk around the river, over the BU bridge, and past MIT, as we discuss the climbing suicide rates amongst college students and how stigma, prejudice and discrimination contribute to this growing national crisis.
  • Water Aerobics—This class is designed to give you a great workout, with no joint impact, with an hour of cardiovascular exercise and muscle conditioning in the Boston Sheraton Pool.
  • Yoga – Back by Popular Demand!—Start your day with the yogis from Health Yoga Life.  Don't worry, you don't have to be an expert in yoga. This session is low-intensity and can be attended in your Summit attire!
  • Reiki—A healing approach from Japan that promotes the relaxation response and brings the mind and body into its natural balance. Join us to start your day of learning off on the right foot!

Ignite – Back by Popular Demand!

Everyone in the psych rehab community has a story to share. Each presentation focuses on empowerment, choice, and/or freedom. During these fast-paced, fun and entertaining sessions, presenters have just 20 slides that auto-advance every 15 seconds, for a total of five minutes. It’s a showcase of talks that might be bold, possibly brash, and maybe even brilliant—but never boring! Hear stories about a personal journey, someone’s passion(s), what gets them up in the morning, and more. Some of this year’s Ignite’s include:

  • Unpacking Privileged Messages about Work and Careers
  • You Have a Choice - What Matters is How You See Yourself
  • Parenthood as a Path to Recovery
