Part 1: Developing Resiliency and Valued Roles for Children, is an introductory-level course designed to introduce mental health providers who support children with emotional and behavioral conditions to Psychiatric Rehabilitation for Children. The course will introduce you to the fundamental principles, processes, and skills necessary to help children and their families develop resiliency and valued roles so they can live well in their communities. The course is ideal for psychiatric rehabilitation practitioners, social workers, counselors, educators, and administrators of programs that provide mental health services to children.

Course Format

The course is an Instructor-led, self-paced online course. The faculty will guide you through the material, but you set the pace that ensures you will complete the course by the end of the month. Self-paced online courses are designed for motivated, adult learners who are comfortable with setting and meeting their own deadlines. Learners will complete assessments that will include quizzes, a mock strengths-based assessment and plan, as well as a final exam. Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive 10 hours of Continuing Education credit.
