1. Participants will be able to define ethics in the context of mental health service delivery

2. Participants will be able to identify the specific steps recommended for making decisions around ethical dilemmas with recipients of service

3. Participants will be able to recognize and define a dual relationship in a mental health recovery setting

4. Participants will be able to specify 3-5 areas of potential risk for boundary violations in mental health recovery service delivery

Faculty - Melanie Kinley, BA

Melanie Kinley, BA, has worked in the field of mental health for over 28 years and has provided training and consultation for the last 15 years.  She is currently a trainer/consultant at Thresholds, Chicago, Illinois, where her recent focus has been around treatment for persons with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders. 

She has provided training for the State of Illinois Department of Human Services and Department of Corrections, the United States Psychosocial Rehabilitation Association (PRA), the Texas Behavioral Health Association and the Florida Council on Community Mental Health among other organizations.
