(McLean, Va. January 15, 2015) The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) and the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Foundation (PRF) are pleased to announce a partnership with the Pennsylvania Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PAPRS), a chapter of PRA, to hold the Recovery Workforce Summit: 2015 Annual Conference June 1-4, 2015, in Philadelphia, PA. The collaboration between the two organizations, along with their combined widespread expertise and networks within psychiatric rehabilitation, promise to deliver a unique and compelling experience for this year’s attendees.

As the premier organization that grows and trains the recovery workforce, the annual Recovery Workforce Summit is committed to providing programming that promotes wellness and recovery to adults, transition age youth, and children. By PRA and PRF partnering with PAPRS, the 2015 Recovery Workforce Summit will reach even more organizations and practitioners dedicated to psychiatric rehabilitation.

“PRA looks forward to collaborating with PAPRS and executing an unforgettable experience for our 2015 Recovery Workforce Summit attendees,” said Dori Hutchinson, ScD, CPRP, PRA Board Chair. “PAPRS’ extensive knowledge, services, and network within psychiatric rehabilitation will provide an invaluable perspective to this year’s programming.”

The Recovery Workforce Summit: 2015 Annual Conference is offering exciting new schedule and program changes this year, including Ted-like Talks, an “Ignite” session designed to offer content to attendees in an engaging, abbreviated format, and display poster presentations. In addition, PRA and PRF’s collaboration with PAPRS will provide interactive education sessions in the fields of social work, occupational therapy, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, alcohol and drug abuse counseling, nursing, psychiatry, and counseling.

“PAPRS is thrilled to partner with PRA and PRF. The Recovery Workforce Summit is renowned for providing valuable knowledge, supportive connections, and educational credits,” said Scott Heller, PsyD, CPRP, Executive Director, PAPRS. “We are eager to work with PRA and PRF to offer additional resources that support the Summit and mental health recovery.”
