TED-Like Talks

Mobile health interventions have demonstrated effectiveness across a range of outcomes, including mental health. However, little is known about the use of mobile technology for the purposes of psychosocial rehabilitation. Implementation of such interventions is vital, given myriad potential barriers to traditional in-person treatment. This presentation provides a review of current research on mobile interventions for mental health, with recommendations for recovery-oriented design features that would be most likely to promote engagement and improve outcomes. Development of these interventions could provide an accessible, cost-effective, and self-directed treatment alternative that has promise to enhance engagement in recovery-oriented clinical services.
