Walking In the Light of a Lighthouse: A Journey of Suicide

You are here

Sunday, June 25 / 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm

When I was 23, I sat in the shadow of a lighthouse that sat on a hill overlooking the vast ocean ofthe Atlantic and thought about jumping. My despair so intense, I considered doing it, as myhusband wondered the grounds feet from me. I did not jump, but in 2014 a dear friend did. I never understood why I did not jump that day- until I heard that he had. Since then I have tried to understand my own journey and how this has helped me save lives by remembering my journey to the lighthouse.
