Brilliantly Battling Burnout: Practical Information, Tools And Real-Time Exercises For Caregivers and Providers

You are here

Monday, June 26 / 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm

Due to the nature of psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR), PSR providers are particularly susceptible to burnout – characterized by professional cynicism, exhaustion, and feelings of ineffectiveness.  Research indicates the management of burnout increases job satisfaction, decreases turnover, and improves patient care, but is often neglected.  Attendees will learn individual- and systems-based conceptualizations of burnout, how to mitigate its effects, while participating in empirically-supported, anti-burnout techniques (e.g., self-compassion, radical self-care, art therapy).  The facilitators represent an interdisciplinary perspective and will emphasize the application of the Ten Elements of Recovery to providers/caregivers, themselves, in order to alleviate burnout and increase quality of care.
