Please refer to the list below for information on the domains of the CPRP/CFRP role.

Domain I: Interpersonal Competencies

Focus on skills needed to communicate, collaborate, engage and facilitate relationships.

Domain II: Professional Role

Focus on the knowledge and skill practitioners needs to provide evidence-based and emerging best practices, including ensuring ethical practice.

Domain III: Community Integration:

Focus on ensuring that practitioners have the skills needed to assist individuals receiving services in their community of choice.

Domain IV: Assessment, Planning and Outcomes:

Focus on assisting practitioners with assessing and identifying the strengths and interests of those they service, in order to assist individuals in setting and achieving their goals, ensuring success for both the practitioner and the recipient of service.

Domain V: Strategies for Facilitating Recovery & Resiliency:

Focus on the skills needed to assist individuals in reaching their personal goals. The focus will be on alternative approaches to engagement, outreach techniques and relapse prevention.

Domain VI: Systems Competencies:

Focus on providing practitioners with a working knowledge of the systems and services available in their communities, in order to combat stigma and discrimination, and support advocacy, inclusion and integration for individuals receiving psychiatric rehabilitation services.

Domain VII: Supporting Health and Wellness:

Focus on the importance of mind, body and spirit connections to assist individuals in developing and sustaining a wellness lifestyle.  Evidence shows that there is a direct connection between physical and mental health; trainings in this domain go even deeper.
