The following courses are offered:

Online Learning (Live Webinars and On-demand Training)
Designed to meet your professional development and continuing education needs through the Academy of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery, the webinar and on-demand opportunities explore topics relevant to the recovery workforce. Participate wherever it is most convenient to you -- at home, while traveling, or in the office. Trainings vary in length from 60 minutes (1 contact hour) to 5-hours (5 contact hours).

CFRP Refresher Course and Exam Primer
he Certified Child and Family Resiliency Practitioner (CFRP) is an test-based certification that fosters the growth of a qualified, ethical, and culturally diverse child and family psychiatric rehabilitation workforce through enforcement of a practitioner code of ethics. CFRPs work in all aspects of children’s behavioral health care. They are teachers to school psychologists, occupational therapists to social workers, behavioral therapists to caseworkers and so many more, all of whom share a commitment to the fundamental principle that children are resilient. 

CPRP Prep Course
Offered both online and in-person, the CPRP Prep Course is the best way to prepare for the CPRP exam and gain a thorough understanding of psychiatric rehabilitation. The course provides an overview of the development of the credential, comprehensive training in each of the seven domains that comprise the practice of psychiatric rehabilitation, the application of the Practitioner Code of Ethics to everyday practice and study skills as you complete your study to for the exam.

Sexual Health & Wellness In-Person Training Event - Available as an in-person training event
This session focuses on educating diverse stakeholders by offering ways to support safe sexual expression. Whole health and wellness implies living a balanced and fulfilled life; this encompasses sex, sexuality and intimacy. Presenters will discuss issues relevant to individuals in recovery and provide tools to promote sexual health and wellness. Contact us for details.

Documentation for Psych Rehab

Intro to Psychiatric Rehabilitation
As agencies providing  recovery-oriented care, you want you staff to be up-to-date and  knowledgeable about the core principle and values of psychiatric rehabilitation. This live training will provide participants with an overview of psychiatric rehabilitation evidence-based practices and models including, but not limited to collaborative pharmacology, Illness Management & Recovery (IMR), Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), Supporteed Employment and Peer-Operationd programs.  Additionally Academy faculty will focus on specialty areas relevant to your organization and staff. Topics could include youth and emerging adults, trauma-informed services, mental health courts, jail diversion, and crisis intervention. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Pracititioner (CPRP) Certification Exam Preparation Course
The CPRP Prep Course is a combination of instruction and opportunities to apply educational content to improve psychiatric rehabilitation practitioners skills.  This course is designed to prepare candidates for the CPRP exam through understanding of the seven practice domains of the CPRP. Participants will receive comprehensive training in each of the domains as well as study skill and tools to help themp prepare for the exam. The CPRP exam practice test will be administered on site to help participants evaluate their readiness for the exam.  Contact us for details.

Continuing Education

Individuals purchasing a 60 or 90 minute webinars will automatically receive a certificate of completion following the webinar.  Groups participating will be required to submit a roster of attendees and will be invoiced at a rate of $15.00 per person for continuing education contact hours.  Certificates will not be issued until fee has been paid.
