2018 Summit Faculty Guide

Congratulations on being selected as faculty for the 2018 Wellness and Recovery Summit!  There are a number of tasks that will need to be completed between now and the Summit, so please review this list carefully:

  • Register for the Summit     required - must register by May 31, 2018 - however please try to register by the end of April
    • All Summit Faculty are required to register for the Summit.  Primary faculty and, for Workshops, Recovery Talks, and Poster Highlight sessions, up to one secondary faculty, are eligible for a reduced faculty rate.  You will see the faculty rate in the cart, if eligible.  Please click the link above to proceed.  If you receive an error message, please login first, then click the link - if you still experience any difficulty registering, please email Brian Reach at breach@psychrehabassociation.org.
  • Book Your Hotel      
    • It is highly recommended that you book your hotel within the discounted room block at the Grand Hyatt Denver.  Book Early before the room block sells out!  PRA has secured a discounted room rate of $189, plus applicable taxes and fees. The discounted room rate is available until May 23, 2018 or until the room block is filled.To make the reservation, please visit the Hotel Registration Website for the Summit. Please book your discounted hotel room online, in the PRF Wellness and Recovery Summit room block.
  • Submit Public Speaker Profile     required - must be submitted by April 11, 2018           *This is working now!*
    • This information will be displayed on the Summit Website and Mobile App, and some information will be included in the onsite program.  Many of our attendees want to see who is speaking before making the decision to register, so please submit this information at your earliest convenience, as it will take staff some time to get all the information into the system.
  • Install the 2018 Summit Mobile App     required for CE credit, but otherwise highly recommended - available now!
    • All participants in the 2018 Wellness and Recovery Summit are highly encouraged to download and use the 2018 Summit Mobile App to up-to-date on "All Things Summit" - the schedule, details, special announcements, and interaction with colleagues!  Please click the link above, or visit www.psychrehabassociation.org/summit/attend/app to get started.
  • Submit Faculty A/V Requirement Form     required for all non-poster faculty - deadline April 30, 2018
    • Please click the link above to complete your AV requirements form.  This is required for all faculty that are presenting a Workshop, Lunch and Learn Presentation, Recovery Talk, or Ignite Talk.
  • POSTER PRESENTERS:
    • Please note that posters will be presented on 4' tall by 8' wide rolling posterboards, with two posters on each side (you will share a board with another poster presentation).  Your poster should be no larger than 42" wide by 36" tall.
  • Prepare Presentation (Workshops, Ignite, and Ted Talks) on Summit 2018 PowerPoint Template, then upload presentation before Summit     upload by June 1, 2018
    • In order to ensure that our A/V team is prepared to display your presentation, and to ensure that content is free from commercial interest* or interference and that appropriate disclosure of relevant financial interests** are made, please download and use our 2018 Summit PowerPoint Template (click to download) to prepare your presentation.  Even if you expect to make some changes to your presentation in the days leading up to the conference, it is imperative that you upload the most current presentation by June 1st - please keep in contact with Brian Reach via email (breach@psychrehabassociation.org) between this date and the day of your presentation to ensure that he may coordinate with the A/V team to ensure your presentation goes smoothly.
  • Upload Presentations and Handouts     deadline June 1, 2018
    • In order to ensure that Summit attendees are able to access handouts ahead of the conference, please upload any and all handouts you would like to provide to attendees, in PDF format only, no later than June 1, 2018.  Please note: handouts will only be provided digitally - PRA staff is unable to print anything for your presentation.  Also note: if you would like your actual slide presentation to be provided as a handout, it must also be uploaded in PDF format (25MB maximum file size) in order to be included.  
    • Even if you expect to make some changes to your presentation in the days leading up to the conference, it is imperative that you upload the most current presentation by June 1st - please keep in contact with Brian Reach via email (breach@psychrehabassociation.org) between this date and the day of your presentation to ensure that he may coordinate with the A/V team to ensure your presentation goes smoothly.
    • If you are unable to submit your presentation and/or handouts using the upload form, please share via DropBox, OneDrive, or similar file sharing service with breach@psychrehabassociation.org - to make things easier to differentiate, please name the folder after your presentation.

*PRA defines a Commercial Interest as any entity producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing healthcare goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients; we do not consider the following to fall under the definition of a Commercial Interest: Academic Institutions, Liability or Health Insurance Providers, Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centers, Nursing Homes, Laboratories, Government organizations, or 501-C Nonprofit organizations that do not advocate for commercial interests, and non-healthcare-related companies.

**PRA defines a financial relationship as any relationship with a commercial interest that benefits you or your spouse/partner, in any amount within the past year.  Financial relationships include salary, royalty, intellectual property rights, consulting fee, honoraria, ownership interest (stock, stock options, does not include mutual funds), or other financial benefit, work as an independent contractor, contracted research, consulting, promotional speaking and teaching, membership on advisory committees or review panels, board membership, and activities for which remuneration is received or expected.  PRA defines a relevant financial relationship as any financial relationship with a commercial interest that relates to the content of the educational activity, especially if any discussion of products or services of that commercial interest.
